Class of 2019 Abstract Painting I started with this vision by looking up ideas online. I didn't know what to do for a while and then I came across this abstract painting of a teddy bear and I stemmed my idea from there. The tools and materials I used were: a ruler, pencil, permanent marker, water color paint, and of course paintbrushes. First, I drew four boxes to make sure the sun was evenly proportional in each box. Then I outlined everything in permanent marker and then I began to paint. I learned how to mix water color and it was a bit difficult at first but I got the hang of it. The overall project was fun and turned out nicely.

My art skills have improved I'd like to think, especially with wire. Like I said, I learned how to work with wire and I enjoyed it. I feel like I could've done more with my time. I don't think I realized that we had timer put on the class until now. I'm frustrated because I think I could've learned a lot more if I put more effort into it.
I started my vision by wanting to create a self portrait but then I got bored and wanted to draw someone from my imagination. I had trouble when I was mixing paint to create a perfect skin color and it got frustrating so I gave up for a while. I went from using acrylic paint to using oil pastel because it's easier to blend and that's how I envisioned my project. I learned that mixing paint is actually harder than it looks.
The project started out with me just messing around with wire. Then I became inspired by Niesen's dragonfly. I decided to make a butterfly. Joseph then asked to me to show him how to make one and we decided to work together. We envisioned that we were going to make a bunch and hang them from somewhere but we got bored and decided to bring the project to an end. We used wire, paint, and tissue paper for this project. In the end I think the project turned out good.
Its October 3rd. Maddie had the vision for this so we decided to reanact the scene from Mean Girls. I already knew how to use these apps so I didn't learn all that much. It went good, with the help of Joseph taking our pictures.
